Course Overview

This course is a 3-day introductory course to Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE) simulation offered by Atkinson Aeronautics & Technology, Inc. This course covers all the basics plus dedicated time on aviation, Electromagnetic Warfare, and RPA operations. This guided, hands-on training is an ideal course for those with little to no prior user experience with MACE. Seats are limited to ensure each student gets plenty of individual instructor attention. At the end of the course, the student will have a greater appreciation for MACE capabilities and the skillset to create and create basic customized missions.

  • Networking MACE
  • Mission Building
  • Air and Ground Platforms & Waypoints – properties, adding, changing, deleting.
  • Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS)
  • MACE User Interface – Toolbars
  • Mission Control Toolbar
  • Entity Control Toolbar – Air and Ground
  • Analysis Toolbar
  • Electromagnetic Spectrum Modeling and Tools
  • Overview of emitter characteristics in MACE – modeling of radios, radars, etc.
  • Overview of Tactical Data Links
  • Augmented Reality Mission Observation and Rehearsal (ARMOR)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • All instruction is at the unclassified level.
  • RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT: students should bring a laptop with core i5 or better, windows 10 or newer and at least 16GB RAM.
  • If you need to borrow a laptop for training, please let us know after registration.
  • Temporary MACE software licenses available.
